The Research Process

  1. The first step in joining a research study is a pre-screening phone call. The call lasts about 20 minutes, and you will be asked about your medical history, willingness to participate in research procedures, contact information and demographics. This one time call helps us determine your initial eligibility for study criteria.
  2. Following the intake call, our team will review current research studies to determine if you may qualify and send along information for your review.
  3. After review of the information provided to you, you can determine if you would like to screen for a research study (screening means undergoing additional assessments and/or procedures to see if you continue to qualify for the study).
  4. If you meet all screening criteria, you can continue in the study.
  5. Should you not be eligible for a study after the intake call or not meet all screening criteria of a study after starting the screening phase, our team will continue to review your information as new studies become available and contact your to discuss any studies that you may qualify for.
